What is the opinion of when looking for something that is lost and reciting
100 times in the belief that Allah (swt) help will you find it. Is there a proper way to do this Ex: praying 2 rakat nafl before
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.
The above wazeefah is perhaps based on experiment. It is permissible to act upon it without regarding it to be a sunnah or something established. Along with that, one should perform two rak’ahs and make the following du’aa:
“O Allaah, the One who returns the lost! By Your power and awe return what I have lost, for surely I have received it as Your gift and favour (boon)”. [Tabaraani, Bayhaqi, Hisnul Haseen]
And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
