Question:
Assalamu Alaykum..
A question regarding completing the prayer once Imam is finished.
When the Imam give the salaam, should the person wait till he completes it fully I.e. right and left, or get up after he does the first salaam I.e. to the right?

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

A masbooq should get up to complete his salaah once the imaam makes both salaams. It is makrooh to get up before that. One of the reasons for this is the possibility of Sajdah Sahw.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
