Question:
Assalamu alaikum wrwb ,

Is it permissible for a woman to record audios of book etc without showing herself or revealing her identity?

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

In principle, the voice of a woman is not ‘awrah. It will be permissible for her to record audio books in the enquired situation provided that she maintains the general guidelines of modesty and hijaab. She should not make her voice seductive or unnecessarily attractive.
