Question:
Assalamulikum, I heard in islam before we were born, we were shown our life how we will live and how it will end and will given choice to live that life or die before being born while we are in womb. Is it true?

Answer:
In the Name of Allaah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salaamu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullaahi wa-barakaatuh.

The above is baseless. It is also somewhat contradictory to the following Qur’anic,

وَاللَّهُ أَخْرَجَكُمْ مِنْ بُطُونِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ لا تَعْلَمُونَ شَيْئًا
“And Allah brought you out of the wombs of your mothers while you knew nothing.” [An-Nahl 78]

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best.
